Think About It
Im not sure which way to go from here, I'm on the fence about the future, but I know I want away from the jws. Take a break, continue to learn, and live and see where life goes. At least that is the plan for now.
Welcome to the JWN board WW2G. Sounds like you do have a good plan.

Rumor of new light on the headquarters of the WT
by wolfman85 ini read in a forum in spanish that there is a strong rumor spreading in the corridors of the wt.
has anyone heard anything about this??
the change that is emerging is this: the great crowd has not yet appeared, and it is a group that comes out of the great tribulation.

At this point..... this particular "new light" is only rumor, however at some point you would think that most JW's would wake up to this ever changing "Truth" nonsense. Just recently the JW's had the "new light" of over-lapping generations, and that "only" the WTS Governing Body was the Faithful & Discreet Slave. How can a religion that claims that only their WTS Organixation is God's Channel on Earth, and that Armageddon can come at any minute....how can they keep changing major doctrinal beliefs this late in the game? Anyone looking at this religion with common sense would see that the Leaders of the JW religion are pulling this shit out of their collective Governing Body ass.

Newbie Again (Kinda Sorta)
by lostinnj83 ini made my first post (which i have attached) more than 2.5 years ago.. sad to say i am still in the same situation.
still "physically in" but have mentally been gone for years.
i am still in my marriage and unfortunatly things have not gotten any better as far as me being able to help him see the light as far as the organization.. i am at a serious crossroad though because i am almost 30 years old, with no children.

P.S.....Start offering to take her to do fun things during meeting times, and see if she accepts. That could be a beginning right there.

Were you popular in your congregation or district?
by Emery innot to start some form of popularity contests here but i was wondering how popular some people were?
how far did your network go in this organization?
this question also pertains to those who are actively fading..

I've always had pretty good people skills. I was the elder that everyone liked, except for the hardcore Theocratic types. I was accepted by the cliques, but would never fully join them. The regular JW folk related to me very well.

we had a nice "encouraging" chat about my inactivity.
they went through the usual guilt routine, that didnt seem to work so they turned to fear.

Landlord business
by hoser inonce you spend your property it is spent forever.
this is what the wts is doing by selling out of brooklyn.
would it not make a lot more financial sense to become landlords in one of the hottest rental markets in the world?.

They have a free (slave) labor pool for building new facilities upstate for pennies on the dollar.
The cash they recieve can be moved around offshore, safe from legal judgments.
Now they are in the hedge fund business, if they can get the money managed in friendly countries, they can avoid U.S. Securities regulators and employ insider trading tactics if needed (theocratic strategy).
Can you imagine the potential hedge fund profits on one Billion dollars with little regulation ?
A billion dollar religious publishing house cult with access to state of the art printing facilities & technology, that also believes it can wage theocratic warfare (justify deceit & lying tactics), against world governments who they believe are under the control of Satan.
Why...... that could be like a license to print money.
